TS-Space launches combined vacuum/ambient thermal cycling

Thermal cycling has traditionally forced a choice: run every cycle under vacuum — thorough, but slower and more costly — or move the hardware to a separate chamber for faster cycling at ambient pressure, which brings all the handling, contamination risk and cross-facility scheduling that a transfer involves. Our new combined capability removes that trade-off, and it came directly from customer requests.

With our latest chamber modification we can run the required vacuum cycles first and then, without removing your hardware, isolate the chamber and complete the remaining cycles at ambient pressure — all in the same chamber. Keeping the article in one chamber for the whole campaign means there's no transfer between facilities, far less risk of atmospheric moisture uptake and contamination, and a faster, more cost-effective route to the same cycle count where the test requirement allows.

The combined approach is accommodated across the major European and US thermal-testing standards, and we agree the vacuum/ambient split with you against your mission profile. As ever, we've kept it straightforward: tell us your cycle count, temperature profile and the standard you're working to, and we'll take it from there.
