We have a new video featuring our Unisim Compact solar simulator which gives a guided tour of the system as well as some of the optional extras that can be fitted during manufacture.
The video also covers the concept of using the Unisim Compact solar simulator as a simplified 4-zone solar simulator. For more information on this, or how the LED boost zones work, see our technical note here.
Click the image opposite to see the video, or watch it on the Unisim Comact solar simulator product page.
We have updated the Unisim Compact solar simulator and will be uploading the details of the new system at the end of the month.
For existing Unisim Compact solar simulator customers the new enclosure systems are available free of charge and will be dispatched shortly. If we have not already contacted you, please email us and we will arrange an enclosure kit for you.
We are also building several 'Unisim Compact' solar simulators for in-house test work and demonstration. The updated design for 2016 includes a new enclosure system and shutter design that removes the need to compressed air and reduces the overall weight of the system.
The standard solar simulator will now also be shipped with a machined base plate that is capable of taking LED boost zone upgrades that can be fitted retrospectively. These LED boost zones allow the standard 2-zone close match solar simulator to be operated as a 4-zone close match solar simulator. More information on this mode of solar simulator operation is available here.
More details will be announced next month.
We have a wide range of in-house test facilities available at TS-Space Systems and can often modify our equipment to accommodate custom test requirements.
It has been a remarkably busy year for us here and we'd like to take a moment to thank all of our customers and colleagues for using our test services and selecting our solar simulators. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
We will be closed for the Christmas holidays until the 4th of January 2016, when our normal service will resume. We look forward to seeing you all in 2016.
